Who I am

If I emailed you about my services
I contact directors, partners and owners of limited companies and LLPs in the South West (mainly mortgage, lending and estate agency firms, and also trades, hospitality and professional services firms) to offer AI, CRM and outreach services.

| Where it came from | Either Apollo.io, a business contact data provider, from its database of publicly available professional information (checked with MillionVerifier), or my own research: the firm's details and the names of its directors or members from the public register at Companies House, and the email address the firm publishes on its own website. My research tool identifies itself to websites as "WestcountryAI-LeadFinder", follows their robots.txt rules, and only reads a few public pages per firm. |
| Why I use it | To tell your firm about services that may be relevant to it. My lawful basis is legitimate interests: I have a genuine business reason to contact firms in my sector, I only contact people in business roles about business matters, and you can stop it at any time. |
| How long I keep it | If you don't reply, I delete your details 12 months after my last email. If you ask me not to contact you again, I keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list, so that I never email you again. |
I only email limited companies and LLPs without prior consent, as the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations allow. Every email tells you how to opt out, and I act on it straight away.
If you visit this website
This site has no analytics or tracking cookies. The booking box doesn't send or store anything: it only fills in a WhatsApp message or email on your own device, which goes to me only if you press send. Netlify, which hosts the site, keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, to run and secure it. The page fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
Who else handles your data
I use these service providers to run my business. They process data on my behalf, under contract:
- Microsoft 365 (email and files)
- Anthropic (Claude, an AI assistant I use to manage outreach emails, draft replies to you, and suggest a personal first line based on your firm's own public website; I check every line before it is used)
- Telegram (sends me an alert with your name and firm when you reply)
- Apollo.io (contact data) and MillionVerifier (email checking)
- Netlify (website hosting, and storage for my outreach records)
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by safeguards approved under UK data protection law. I never sell your data.
Your rights
You can ask me to:
- stop contacting you (reply "no thanks" to any email);
- give you a copy of the data I hold about you;
- correct it;
- delete it (reply "delete");
- restrict how I use it.
You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. Email louis@westcountryai.com and I'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
